In 1985, this couple met on a blind date. (Mark likes to joke that Jennie has since regained her sight.) Mark and Jennie have been happily married for 28 years and have raised three wonderful children. In May of 2017, Jennie retired after 31 years as an elementary school teacher.  After purchasing “The House at Seven Oaks” and learning its history, the couple realized their dream and opened the house as a bed and breakfast in April 2018. Their love for baking and creating warm, comfortable spaces, in combination with their outgoing, friendly personalities, make them the perfect hosts for a bed and breakfast.

Frankie, a fluffy Bernedoodle, joined our staff in 2018 to greet guests and bring a sense of joy and comfort to the House. When allowed, he enjoys spending time with folks for as long as they continue scratching and petting. He may even sit down right on your feet! And, on occasion, he’ll curl up on the floor beside you while you read and relax in the living room.
